Miley “TV Show is a Little Harder”

I found this interview with Miley Cyrus from when she was in Manhattan. She was asked about her musical influences, what instruments she plays and which is harder: TV or going on tour.

On her musical influences: “I love Coldplay and the Killers and John Lennon — all dudes because I have a low voice. I do, I like that sound because it is a little more edgy.”

On what other instruments she plays besides guitar: “I love playing the drums. I am learning the piano, I am learning the bass, and I play the guitar. So I will continue to do more instruments.”

On what is harder, TV or a tour: “TV show is a little harder because you are at the same place every day. It is a little more boring. With the touring you get to be somewhere new every day. You never get bored. Physically a tour is hard you have to run around. You are tired today I only got two hours sleep so I am a little tired. You can’t do that on tour otherwise you will just crash during the show.”

On the best and worst thing about being famous: “The best thing is the traveling and meeting new people, and the worst thing is the traveling. It is the best and worst because I am away from home all the time, also it is fun to meet new people and see new things and go places that you probably wouldn’t be able to go.”
